This is a lovely port selection from Caves Messias to celebrate a 50th birthday or anniversary this year. This double gift box comprises of two premium port styles from the 1967 vintage, a barrel aged and a bottle aged port. Both wines have received excellent reviews with the Colheita recently scoring 95 points on Wine Adocate Magazine.

1967 Messias Quinta Cachao Vintage Port:
A very rare bottle of 50 Year old Port from the good 1967 Vintage - these are the only bottles available in the UK and are a true rarity. Unlike the colheita ports from the same year, this wine has aged in the bottle for nearly 50 years (As opposed to a barrel). It is among the rarest category of ports and is a delight for the port connoisseur.

1967 Messias Colheita/Single Harvest Tawny Port:

The extended barrel aging has given this wine a complex fusion of dried fruit and cedar notes. On the palate the wine is smooth and full bodies with plenty nuts and sweet fruit on the palate, fine balance. A tremendous finish which goes on forever. There's no question about the quality on display here.
