This 2011 Vintage Port Wine from Croft comes from the near perfect viticultural conditions in the Douro Valley and Croft's highly regarded Quinta da Roêda during 2011. This Quinta always forms the core around which Croft craft their Vintage Port blend, yet in this excellent year all of the blend's components have been sourced from here, producing a scented, exotic and lusciously opulent style. In the words of wine-maker David guimareans, the high perfomance of Quinta da Roêda gave this vintage 'an additional layer of density and depth of flavour' with silky, integrated tannins and powerful grip on the finish. According to MD Adrian Bridge this vintage has the usual richness and aromatics of Croft, but stands out as 'one of the most muscular and powerful of recent Croft vintages.
