This rare Port Wine has been stored in seasoned oak casks since the 2013 harvest until it was bottled this year. This 2012 colheita is an outstanding example of an aged tawny.

Tasting Notes: The 2013 Port from Palmer has a light oak colour. Much elegance on the nose with orange peel, walnuts, figs and a touch of honey. On the palate, there is a lightness that is balanced by good acidity. This port wine delivers a beautiful flavour supported by a long, long finish. Outstanding. …

This 2013 Vintage Port Wine; Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira is set in the remote, hot and dry Douro Superior and commands a magnificent north bank position. Senhora da Ribeira’s wines are some of the finest in the Douro and they complement those from Bomfim in the composition of Dow’s classic Vintage Ports. The quinta’s high proportion of old vines (45% are over 25 years old) is of critical importance. The old vines are very low-yielding, producing on average less than 1Kg of grapes each, giving intense and concentrated musts which are ideal for classic Vintage Port.

The 2013 Graham's Crusted Port Wine is a blend of carefully selected young ports from two or three vintage years, bottled without any fining or filtration in the year indicated on the label.

Once bottled, Graham’s Crusted is then cellared in the Graham’s Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia for at least a further three to four years before being released for sale. By the time the wine arrives on shelf it will have therefore aged in wood and in bottle for up to seven or eight years, during which time the Port develops bottle character and complexity, akin to Quinta Vintage Ports and declared Vintage Ports. …

The 2013 Vintage Port Wine Bioma “Vinha Velha” from Niepoort is a single vineyard Vintage Port wine from aged vines at Vinha da Pisca. Appearance of deep purple accompanied by a purple rim. With time, the wine has gained in colour, but on the aroma the exuberant youthful fruit, so evident after its first winter has closed down, but is very much still present on the palate with dark plums and blackberries with firm grainy tannins on the mid palate giving both structure and power to the wine leading to a grainy but not aggressive finish. Pairs well with chocolate and caramel.
