This 1970 Vintage Port from Burmester has been stored at the Burmester cellars in Porto since bottling. This is a very limited edition cellar release for VWP.
This wine has a beautiful, mature tawny colour. On the nose it has cocoa chocolate together with a zesty orange undertone. On the palate it is complex. Medium-bodied with a perfect balance between the acidity, tannins and flavours. Long, long finish. This is in a good place and should hold well for the next decade or so. (VWP note - tasting May 2019).
