Warre's Vintage Port, 1963

Vintage Port

Description and Reviews:
Outstanding Vintage Port from one of the best vintages of the last century.

Reviews:
“…for me this is now one of the best and most elegant of all the ‘63s. I have made a total of sixteen notes since the early 1980s when it emerged, fully fledged and totally delicious”.

"Extremely impressive, with beautifully balanced, harmonious sweet fruit on the palate. Medium ruby-red, ripe cherry and cassis aromas, medium-bodied, with rich, velvety fruit flavors, full, soft tannins and a powerful finish".
James Suckling , Wine Spectator - Web Only (1989)

Condition Report:

Level very top shoulder - plain labels: these bottles to be 1963 Warres. They have been stored well, in an organised cellar, since their purchase in the early 1980s, but have been stripped of their labels as a result of damp. Due to their bottling by Peatling & Cawdron the capsules do not bare any information, however, the 1963 vintage is one of the few Warres vintages that were bottled by Peatling & Cawdron.
