A deep, even, thick burgundy red appearance, though still with some sign of youth. Utterly gorgeous, seductive nose with perfumed plum, blackberry and mulberry, and also some very fresh tobacco notes. Wow! Get those black fruits on the palate. Very dry, almost sour fruits. Port-lite. The tannins are now quite sandy, but there's still plenty of life ahead of this. Haunting length. This really is a lovely drop.
