1988 Delaforce Colheita Port
A mature and elegant single-harvest Tawny Port from Delaforce, showing the rich complexity and smooth character developed through extended ageing in seasoned oak casks. The 1988 vintage offers an attractive balance between sweetness, freshness and oxidative maturity, making it an excellent example of traditional Colheita Port.
Rich amber-tawny in colour with orange highlights, the nose displays aromas of caramelised orange peel, toasted nuts, dried figs and warm spice. Notes of toffee, raisin and walnut continue onto the palate, supported by lively acidity that brings freshness and balance to the wine. The finish is long, smooth and warming, with lingering nutty and citrus notes.
The 1988 Delaforce Colheita is drinking beautifully now and can be enjoyed over several weeks once opened if stored correctly. Serve slightly chilled at 12–14°C.
Excellent served on its own or paired with crème brûlée, nut-based desserts, blue cheese or dark chocolate.
