Graham's Port, 1994

Vintage Port

Description and Reviews:
The 1994 Graham's Vintage Port is widely celebrated as one of the finest examples from an exceptional vintage year and considered one of the best vintage Ports of the 20th century. It has received high praise from wine critics.

Tasting Notes:
This is a deep, dark ruby coloured with garnet rim with complex aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, cherries, chocolate, licorice, tobacco, and spice. Its full-bodied, concentrated palate offers intense flavors of dark fruits, dark chocolate, and spices. The wine's well-structured tannins and balanced acidity provide a strong backbone for graceful aging. The finish is long and persistent, with a harmonious blend of fruit, tannin, and minerality. The 1994 Graham's Vintage Port has excellent aging potential and can be cellared for several decades. It continues to develop more complex tertiary flavors over time, such as dried fruits and roasted nuts.

Serving and Food pairing
Vintage Ports are best decanted and served slightly below modern room temperature: 16° to 18° C. This is the kind of wine that can be enjoyed now or aged even further to allow its flavors to develop and evolve over time. Whether you're sipping it on its own or pairing it with a rich dessert like chocolate mousse or a selection of aged cheeses, a vintage port is sure to be a memorable experience.
