Justino's Madeira, 1997

Justino's - Sercial

Description and Reviews:
Justino’s Madeira Wines, S.A., is one of the oldest Madeira wine producers, going way back to 1870! Yet, despite being one of the oldest, Justino’s is certainly one of the most dynamic producers and exporters of Madeira Wine, internationally known for the quality of its wines.

This 1997 Sercial Madeira by Justino reveals orange peel, dry fruits and spices notes on the nose. On the palate, aromas of dried fruits, exotic wood, coconut, dry herb and orange peel. Vibrant acidity but still showing a great fruity style. Dry and long finish.

Serving suggestions and food pairing: The soft, delicate and elegant fruit qualities of this dry Madeira make it suitable for serving slight chilled as an aperitif, with olives, roasted almonds, canapés of smoked salmon, sushi, caviar, tuna, light soups, salads, ham, dry fruits as almonds and walnuts. Serve at 10°-12°C

Storage: Madeira wines are indestructible and have the fascinating ability to remain in excellent condition for centuries. Keep your bottle of Madeira wine upright, away from direct sunlight, and it will last forever. Once opened, a bottle of Madeira wine will remain in perfect condition for months, if not years. So, don't hurry to finish the bottle. That is, if you can resist..
