Wiese & Krohn is now run by the third generation of the Falcão Carneiro family. This small boutique Port House makes some terrific Late Bottled Vintage Port, in addition to Vintage Port but my favourite is the Colheitas.

A Colheita is a vintage tawny port. Tawny is lighter in colour and style than a traditional Vintage Port but if anything is even more delicious as it is a touch more elegant. They age beautifully too and represent great value.

Youthful, medium brick red. Lots of young plummy fruit aromas, as well as dried fruit, figs and nuts on the nose. Really smooth on the palate, silky and elegant in texture with balanced acidity, more dried fruit and spice notes. The flavours really linger.
