Description and Reviews: Tasting Note The 1969 Palmer has a deep mahogany colour with olive highlights on the rim highlighting that this is a wine of great age. On the nose it has a very fine, elegant aroma of honey, caramel and butterscotch infused with a spicy redolence of black pepper and cinnamon. There are layers of complexity here with wild herbs and mint. The palate is perfectly balanced with a fresh acidity and sweetness. It has an amazing rich mellow flavour, molasses, caramel, dried figs, sultanas and dried fruits. The finish lasts for ages and is clean and fresh with zesty citrus notes. A delight!
