Like all Cohleitas, this wine is from a single vintage, but aged in wood until ready for release. All of the sediment has been left behind in the barrel, and the extended ageing in oak has given the wine a good degree of immunization against oxidation. This port is very pretty in the glass with hints of strawberry red flashing through a walnut colour. This is a powerful, concentrated, multi-layered wine with real tawny flavour.
