Quarles Harris Vintage Port 2000 is a rich, classically structured wine from one of the long-established Symington family houses. The 2000 vintage is widely regarded as one of the best early-millennium declarations, delivering depth, purity and impressive ageing potential. Now with 25 years in bottle, this Port is entering a superb drinking window, showing both youthful energy and the first signs of mature complexity.
The nose is expressive and inviting, offering aromas of black cherry, damson and cassis intertwined with notes of dark chocolate, violet and a touch of liquorice. Hints of warm spice and subtle eucalyptus bring further lift, making this a beautifully aromatic and layered vintage expression.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and polished, with concentrated dark fruit flavours supported by firm but velvety tannins.
