Vintage Port, Douro

Description and Reviews:
Quinta Das Carvalhas Vintage Port is a field blend from old vines from the centenary vineyard. It is the top Port from the estate and needs some serious ageing to realise its full potential.
Tasting Notes Deep purple with intense aromas of fresh blackberries and cherries and hints of floral fragrance. On the palate it is soft and approachable despite its young age, packed with jammy berry fruit and cinnamon spice. It shows good structure with high acidity, full body and ripe tannins that will allow it to age for at least three decades in the bottle.
Serving and Food Pairing When mature this port will need to be decanted to remove sediment. Serve at room temperature on its own, with steak or vintage mature blue cheeses or top quality chocolate.

How to store your Vintage Port Vintage Port, like all fine wines, prefers to remain undisturbed, lying on its side in a dark and at least slightly humid place at a stable temperature of between 10°C and 14°C to mature properly.
