The 2017 Quinta da Devesa Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) Port is a distinguished expression from the Douro Valley, reflecting the estate's commitment to traditional winemaking and sustainable viticulture. Crafted from hand-harvested grapes, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and old vines, the wine underwent traditional foot treading in granite lagares and was aged in old wooden casks before bottling. This unfiltered LBV showcases the depth and character typical of Quinta da Devesa's style.
In the glass, it presents a deep ruby hue, dense and opaque. The nose is very intense and complex, with notes of ripe black fruit, cocoa, and chocolate. On the palate, it is dense, full, and harmonious, with flavors of black fruit, plums, and chocolate. Pleasantly balanced, it has mature and very good quality tannins, leading to a long, sweet, and addictive finish.
