The rare 1957 Sandeman Vintage Port has an attractive red colour, firm centre and pale rim. Empty nose. Nice body and texture, quite thick. Sweet and attractive palate, lots of late red cherry and gentle acidity. Warm, spicy and fruity finish of great length. (Review on the Port Forum)

"A green rim with a tawny core, sediment too. A deep, spicy nose shows dried spice and fleshy tamarind. In the mouth, it’s very concentrated, spicy and lively, with liquorice and darker treacle toffee notes.
