Description and Reviews:
A beautifully matured single-harvest Tawny Port from the excellent 1990 vintage. In the glass, it shows a deep amber-gold colour with copper highlights. The nose is rich and complex, offering aromas of dried figs, raisins, toasted almonds, and hints of caramel and vanilla, all framed by the subtle influence of long oak ageing.
The palate is silky and full-bodied, with concentrated flavours of dried fruits, walnut, and orange peel, balanced by a lively acidity that keeps it fresh and vibrant. Notes of toffee and warm spice emerge towards the finish, adding depth and complexity.
The finish is long, elegant, and refined, leaving a lingering impression of roasted nuts and mellow sweetness.
