This 2010 Haut Medoc red wine is from an outstanding year for vintage wine, the 2010 Chateau Carrone st. Gemme is dark red in colour, fading to garnet. On the nose still some fruit left mainly red fruit, leather, tobacco and earth. On the palate black cherry, plum and vanilla. The tannins are smooth and the acidity is balanced. Medium finish. This is a good Haut Medoc property situated just south of Chateau Lagrange on the fringe of St Julien commune.
