quevedo-port

Quevedo Port reflects the heart of the Quevedo family, rooted in tradition, innovation, and a deep respect for the Douro Valley. For over 100 years, the family has poured passion and expertise into their craft, with siblings Oscar and Claudia Quevedo leading the charge to balance heritage with modern winemaking.

At the core of Quevedo’s philosophy is a commitment to sustainability and quality. Their 112 hectares of vineyards in São João da Pesqueira are cultivated with care, ensuring each bottle of Quevedo Port captures the unique essence of the Douro Valley. The family believes that great wine is a harmony of nature and craftsmanship.

The launch of the Quevedo Port brand in 1986 marked a bold step forward, as the family transitioned from supplying merchants to sharing their wines directly with the world. Today, Quevedo Port embodies the family’s values of integrity, hard work, and connection, producing ports that are consistently acclaimed for their depth and authenticity.

More than just a wine, Quevedo Port is a testament to a family’s dedication to excellence and their unwavering passion for creating exceptional port wines to be enjoyed for generations.

White Colheita Port
Exclusive - New stock arriving shortly - available for pre-order for delivery early April

Quevedo 1986 White Colheita Port

The Quevedo 1986 White Colheita Port is an exceptional and very rare example of long-aged White Port from the Douro Valley. Drawn from a single harvest and matured in seasoned oak casks for many decades, it shows the extraordinary complexity that patient cask ageing can bring to the traditional white grape varieties of the region.

Unlike many historic Port houses that matured their wines in the cooler lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia, the Quevedo family have traditionally aged their Colheitas at the family winery in São João da Pesqueira in the Douro Valley. The warmer inland climate promotes a deeper oxidative evolution, producing wines of notable concentration, structure and aromatic complexity.
