A 2009 vintage Port Wine from Burmester Port.
Markedly rich and rolling style, with soft fruit cake aromas, dried spices and peanut brittle. Crushed almonds coat the smooth red and black fruits on the palate, which finishes textural and warm.

Nice rich colour. Good viscosity, quite sweet, medium bodied. Not much in terms of complexity, but a nice nose/palate of roasted nuts & raisin. Everything else in balance.

Winemaking:
This port is made from old vines, being submitted to a careful ageing process in small oak casks. Over its 250-year history, Casa Burmester has perfected the classic process of blending wines and this is a magnificent example of its expertise.

Food Pairing:
It can be appreciated as an aperitif or on any other occasion. Ideal accompaniment to nuts, cheeses or deserts.
