Quinta Poço do Lobo - Cabernet Sauvignon
Special offer | Was £79.95 | Now £59.95

Description and Reviews:
The Cabernet Sauvignon Quinta Poço do Lobo from the excellent 1994 harvest in Portugal is deep garnet in colour, indicating maturity. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum are layered with notes of cedar, vanilla, and baking spices. Subtle hints of tobacco and leather add complexity. On the palate it is full bodied and velvety with black cherry, cassis and chocolate with hints of graphite and espresso. Well-balanced acidity provides freshness and structure, leading to a long, lingering finish.

Serving and Food pairing
This Vintage Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye steak, braised lamb shanks, or aged cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Founded in 1920, Caves São João has a long and distinguished history of winemaking. The company was initially established as a sparkling wine producer but has since expanded its portfolio to include still wines. One of the most unique aspects of Caves São João is its extensive underground cellar, where wines are aged in oak barrels. The cellar, which is open to visitors, is home to an impressive collection of rare and aged wines, some of which date back over 100 years.
